Noticed a big jump in traffic? A sudden drop in engagement? Don’t leave your team guessing—add an annotation directly to your graph or chart to explain exactly what happened.

Annotations in Hurree make your dashboards smarter by capturing the why behind the numbers. Whether it’s a campaign launch, a system outage, or a one-off promotion, adding a note ensures everyone stays in the loop.

💬 When Should You Use Annotations?

  • A sudden spike due to a flash sale or newsletter

  • A dip caused by a tracking issue or site downtime

  • KPI shifts due to strategy changes or new features

  • Performance changes after team input or stakeholder decisions

🛠️ How to Add Annotations in Hurree

1. Click Into the Widget

From your dashboard, select the chart or graph where you want to add an annotation.

2. Open the Annotations Panel

In the widget’s expanded view, navigate to the Annotations tab at the top.

3. Add Your Note

Click + Add Annotation

  • Choose the relevant date

  • Enter your explanation or comment

4. Review & Save

Your annotation will now appear as a small note icon on the chart. Hovering over it reveals the full comment—giving everyone insight at a glance.

5. Shared Across Dashboards & Snapshots

Once added, annotations are:

  • Visible on the live dashboard

  • Included in PDF snapshots

  • Shared with team members who view the widget

🧠 Pro Tip:

Use annotations to build a story around your data. Over time, they create a historical record of key business decisions and results—great for reporting and performance reviews.

🗣️ Ask our Riva AI Assistant:

  • “How do I annotate a sudden spike in my chart?”

  • “Where do annotations show up?”

  • “Can I edit or delete an annotation later?”

Don’t let your data speak for itself—add your voice with annotations and keep every team member informed. If you need help adding one, just ask Riva!
