How to Create a Pie Chart Widget on Your Dashboard
A Widget is a key component of every dashboard. They are where your most meaningful KPIs and metrics are displayed. Follow these steps to add a pie chart Widget to your Hurree dashboard.
Step 1: Add a Widget
On your dashboard, click the '+' Add Widget' button.
Step 2: Select the Pie Chart Widget
In the Widget selection menu, choose Pie Chart from the available options.
Step 3: Input Data
Once the pie chart Widget is added, you'll need to select the data source.
Choose the data set you want to visualize in a pie chart format.
Step 4: Add a Widget Description
On the Widget settings page, you can now add a description to your pie chart.
Use this to explain what the chart is displaying or add extra context for your team.
Step 5: Customize Your Pie Chart
After the data is populated, you can adjust the colours of your pie chart using one of our premade themes.
Step 6: Toggle Labels On or Off
You can now toggle pie chart labels on or off depending on your preference.
Switch them off for a cleaner look or keep them on to show specific values on each segment.
Step 7: View Detailed Information
To view more information about any segment in the pie chart, hover over or click on a segment. A tooltip will appear showing detailed data about that segment.
Step 8: Handle Errors
If the data input is invalid or insufficient, an error message will be displayed. Follow the instructions in the error message to resolve the issue, and then update the data as necessary.
Step 9: Finish Setup
Once you're satisfied with your pie chart Widget setup, click Finish. Your pie chart will now be displayed on the dashboard.
