How to Add a Google Sheets Widget in Hurree

Once Google Sheets is connected, you can display its data in any visualization type. Follow these steps to add a Google Sheets Widget to your dashboard:

Step 1: Start Adding a Widget

  • Click the + Add Widget button on your dashboard.

Step 2: Select a Visualization Type

  • Choose how you want to display your data:

    • Number

    • Line Graph

    • Bar Chart

    • Other available formats

  • You can change this later when selecting data from your sheet.

Step 3: Select Google Sheets as Your Connector

  • Click Google Sheets from the list of available connectors.

Step 4: Choose Your Sheet

  • Select the document and specific sheet from which you want to pull data.

Step 5: Configure Your Widget

  • Use the sheet builder to choose the cells, columns, or rows you want to display.

  • The preview Widget on the right will update as you make selections.

  • Adjust the visualization type if needed using the dropdown menu.

  • If you're using a Pie Chart, Table, Line Graph, or Bar Chart, you can also customise the Theme Colour during this step by selecting your preferred colour from the Theme Colour option.

Step 6: Add a Widget Description

  • On the Widget settings page, you can now add a description to your Widget.

  • You can use this to explain what the Widget is showing or add extra context for your team.

Step 7: Finish & Add to Dashboard

  • Click Finish when you're satisfied with your Widget.

  • Your new Widget will appear in the top left corner of your dashboard.

Important Notes

Live Data Updates – As your Google Sheet updates, your Hurree Widget will automatically update to reflect the latest data.
Error Handling – If data used in your Widget is removed from the Google Sheet, your Widget will enter an error state and may need to be reconfigured.
