How to Create a Riva AI Summary for a Single Widget

Need a quick insight into one specific metric? With Riva AI, you can now generate summaries for individual widgets, giving you focused, actionable insights at the most granular level.

Step 1: Open Your Dashboard

  • Start by navigating to the dashboard that contains the widget you want to summarise.

Step 2: Hover Over the Widget

  • Find the widget you want to generate a summary for, then hover your mouse over it until an ellipsis (three dots) appears in the bottom right corner.

Step 3: Click the AI Summary Icon

  • Click the AI Summary in the dropdown. If the widget contains data, Riva will begin generating a summary for that specific metric.

Note: If the widget has no data, the AI Summary icon will not appear.

Step 4: View the Summary

  • Riva will generate a concise summary based on the widget’s data. This typically takes just a few seconds. You can press the space bar to skip the waiting time once the summary starts processing.

Step 5: Choose How to Use the Summary

Once the summary appears, you can:

  • Copy to Clipboard – Paste the insight into an email, report, or message

  • Attach to PDF Export – Include the widget summary in a dashboard PDF

  • Share via Email Snapshot – Automatically include the widget’s summary when sharing dashboards via email

Step 6: Get Smart Suggestions with Riva Suggests

  • Click the Riva Suggests button below the widget summary to view three tailored recommendations based on that specific data point.

Suggestions may include:

  • Improving campaign performance

  • Adjusting engagement tactics

  • Optimising spend based on results

In the Riva Chatbot, you can also:

  • Explore follow-up questions

  • Access related articles

  • Jump to the Helpdesk for deeper support

Step 7: Customise Tone and Language

Make the summary your own:

  • Change the tone to match your communication style: Professional (default), Casual, Engaging, or Sassy

  • Translate the summary into over 150 languages for sharing with global teams or regional stakeholders

Customising the tone and language ensures your insight fits seamlessly into your brand’s voice and messaging.

Step 8: Provide Feedback

  • Use the upvote or downvote icons beside the summary to rate its usefulness. Your input helps Riva become more accurate and valuable over time.

Important Note

  • You can generate Ten widget summaries per widget per day

  • Widget summaries refresh daily at 00:00 UTC

Use Riva AI’s widget-level summaries to get straight to the point and drive smarter, faster decisions based on individual metrics.
