Edit a Manual Widget

After you create a manual widget, you can update any of the set properties. Each time you add a new datapoint value to the same widget, it logs as a piece of historical data within the widget. This allows you to display a comparison overtime on the final widget on your dashboard.

Guide to Updating and Editing a Manual Widget in Hurree

Step 1: Updating Widget Configuration

To update the configuration of a manual widget, follow these steps:

  • Hover Over the Widget
    On your dashboard, hover over the manual widget you want to edit.

  • Open the Widget Menu
    Click the ellipsis (three dots) in the bottom right-hand corner of the widget.

  • Select Edit Widget
    From the options, click Edit Widget.

  • Edit Widget Settings
    You will be transported back to the widget configuration screen. From here, you can update the following settings:

    • Widget Name: Change the name of your widget.

    • Performance Indicator Targets: Adjust the targets for performance indicators.

    • Performance Indicator State: Toggle the performance indicator on/off.

  • Save Changes
    Once you’ve made your desired changes, click Save Changes to return to your dashboard and view the updated widget.

Step 2. Updating Widget Value

To update the value of a manual widget, follow these steps:

  • Hover Over the Widget
    On your dashboard, hover over the manual widget you wish to edit.

  • Open the Widget Menu
    Click the ellipsis (three dots) in the bottom right-hand corner of the widget.

  • Select Edit/Add New Value
    From the options, click Edit Add New Value.

  • Update the Datapoint
    From the edit screen, you can change the following:

    • Datapoint Type: Modify the type of data being displayed.

    • Datapoint Value: Update the value you want to display.

    • Date: Adjust the date associated with the new data.

  • Save Changes
    Once you’ve made the desired changes, click Save Changes to return to your dashboard and see the updated widget view.

Important Notes

  • Historical Data: Each time you add a new datapoint value, it will log as a piece of historical data within the widget.

  • Data Comparison: The comparison percentage will update with each new value.

  • Widget Visibility: If you update a manual widget with an older piece of data, it will be added to the historical data but will not be displayed on the widget.

  • Deleting Historical Data: If you delete a historical value from a manual widget, it will be lost and cannot be retrieved.
