You Cannot Connect to a Connector Due to Admin Rights – What Next?
If you can't connect a connector in Hurree due to administrative rights issues, here’s how to resolve the issue.
Why Can’t I Connect a Connector in Hurree?
In Hurree, only Admin users have the necessary permissions to connect new platforms. If you’re a Team Member, you won’t be able to add connectors yourself. Instead, you’ll need assistance from an Admin.
What to Do Next
If you’re unable to connect a connector, follow these steps:
1. Check Your User Role
Before proceeding, verify your user role in Hurree:
Admin users can connect to new platforms.
Team Members do not have connector permissions.
To check your role:
Go to Settings > Team Management.
Find your name in the list and confirm your role.
You must ask an Admin for help if you are a Team Member.
2. Request Admin Access
You can request administrative rights if you require ongoing access to connect platforms.
Reach out to your account owner or current Admin.
Ask them to upgrade your role to Admin under:
Settings > Team Management > Edit User Role.
3. Use Shared Connectors
If another Admin has already connected the platform, you can use the existing connector without needing admin rights.
When setting up your dashboards or reports, select the pre-connected account.
This allows you to access the data without creating a new connection.
Still Having Trouble?
If you’re still unable to connect to a platform, check the following:
Platform Permissions: Ensure you have the required access on the external platform (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics). Even with admin rights in Hurree, you need sufficient permissions to access the external service.
Contact Support: If you continue to experience issues, reach out to the Hurree Support Team for assistance.
Tip:
To avoid connection issues, it’s best practice to have multiple Admins in your account. This ensures there’s always someone available to add or manage connectors.
