If you encounter an issue with your Amplitude Widgets, don't worry - most errors are uncommon and can be resolved quickly. Below, you'll find explanations for the most common Amplitude Widget errors and the recommended steps to fix them. If you're experiencing an error not listed here, please get in touch with our support team for further assistance.
Authentication failed
Explanation: When you connect Amplitude to Hurree, you provide an API Key and Secret Key, which act as proof of your identity every time you add a Datapoint from that tool. This error means the keys you've provided are incorrect, incomplete, or no longer valid, for example, if a key was mistyped or has been regenerated in your Amplitude account.
How to solve: Double-check your API Key and Secret Key in your Amplitude project settings, then disconnect and reconnect your Amplitude Connector using the correct keys. If you are still encountering this error, please get in touch with Hurree Support.
Incorrect server region
Explanation: Amplitude stores account data in either an EU or US data center, and each uses a different server address. If the server field entered when connecting doesn't match your account's region, your connection may appear successful, but your Widgets will fail to load data.
How to solve: Check which region your Amplitude account is hosted in (EU accounts will show "eu" in your Amplitude URL). Then disconnect and reconnect your Amplitude Connector, making sure the server field matches your account's region. If you're unsure which region applies to your account, please get in touch with Hurree Support, and we'll help you get connected.
Permission denied
Explanation: You do not have the necessary permissions to access the information you have requested. The API Key you've connected with may not have access to the Amplitude project or chart you're trying to pull data from.
How to solve: To resolve this issue, contact the Admin of your Amplitude account and ask them to check that your API Key has access to the relevant project.
Resource not found
Explanation: Unfortunately, the resource you are trying to access using Hurree can not be found. This may be because a chart, event, or project was deleted or removed from your Amplitude account.
How to solve: If you see this error, we recommend checking the associated Amplitude account to ensure that the resource you are trying to receive data from hasn't been deleted or archived since.
Too many requests
Explanation: Amplitude limits the number of data requests that can be made in a short period. If that limit is reached, requests are temporarily paused, and your Widgets may show an error until the limit resets.
How to solve: This error should resolve itself after a short time. We recommend waiting and trying again. If the error persists, please get in touch with our team.
Internal server error
Explanation: In some instances, Amplitude's internal server will experience an error, which means that Hurree can't fetch the data you requested at that specific time.
How to solve: It's not uncommon for these kinds of errors to occur, and unfortunately, they are out of our control. The only way to resolve this issue is to wait until the next sync period. If you continue to see the same error after the next sync period, please get in touch with Hurree support.
