This video shows how to add Annotations to a Hurree chart or graph to enhance context and improve understanding of the data.
Step 1: Select the chart or graph
Click on the chart or graph you want to annotate within your Dashboard.
You can also enhance your chart by enabling Benchmarks or reviewing the Median Line, which is enabled by default. Both options can be turned on or off to suit how you want to present your data.
Step 2: Open the Widget Detail panel
Once selected, the Widget detail panel will appear on the right-hand side of your screen.
From here, you can manage Annotations, benchmarks, and chart display options, including toggling the median line or benchmark indicators.
Step 3: Navigate to the Annotations tab
In the Widget detail panel, click the Annotations tab at the top.
Annotations work alongside benchmarks and the median line to add context, helping viewers understand why changes or trends appear in your data.
Step 4: Choose a point to annotate
Select the specific point on the chart where you want to add context.
You can do this by choosing the associated date from the right-hand side. This is useful when explaining performance against benchmarks or highlighting changes around the median line.
Step 5: Save your Annotation
Your Annotation will automatically save and appear on the chart.
Annotations remain visible alongside benchmarks and the median line, giving viewers clearer insight into performance trends and key moments in your data.
